Starting a garden is just the beginning of a self sufficient life. Where to start and what to plant can be challenging.
In today's world we have so many resources at our fingertips and so many creative ways to garden. Below is a small list of companion planting I've used over the years and have had success with. I'm constantly learning and happy to share what I've gleaned through my research and gardening experiences.
Weather you are starting from scratch with a hobby garden or have been gardening for years, companion planting is a great way to maximize any size space for optimal growing and harvesting potential.
Companion planting will work with any size garden from container gardening to a large classic garden.

Little Tip!
The information below can be utilized now for zone 6a/6b; late winter/spring crops like salad mix, spinach, cabbage, and leafy greens.
Around March I'll start sowing seeds in trays indoors; seeds like Arugula, Eggplant, Kale, Onion, Lettuce, Peppers, Rosemary and my favorite veggies in the Brassica Family!
